Uni-fiber started in Shenzhen about twenty years ago as a small cable workshop and has grown into a full-range fiber optic cable manufacturer. Today we supply telecom operators, power utilities and network integrators who need reliable cable built to spec, not just the cheapest option on the shelf.

Our production covers the cables that actually get deployed in the field: ADSS and OPGW for aerial and overhead routes, armored duct cables and all-dielectric cables for buried and pipeline runs, and FTTH drop cables for the last mile into homes and apartments. On top of that we make MTP-MPO trunk cables, fiber distribution boxes and fusion splicers, so a project can be sourced from one supplier.

What keeps customers coming back is the combination of in-house manufacturing and engineering support. We run fiber coloring, stranding, sheathing and armoring on our own lines, and we test every reel before it leaves the plant. If a standard part number does not fit the route, our engineers will work from your drawing to build a custom structure — fiber count, jacket, armor and reel length included.

If you are scoping a project, the ADSS explainer, the fiber distribution box guide and the ADSS selection guide are good places to start. For pricing and lead time, the contact page is the fastest route to our sales team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Uni-fiber a manufacturer or a trading company?

We are a manufacturer. All of our ADSS, OPGW, FTTH drop and indoor/outdoor fiber optic cables are produced in our own facility in Shenzhen, with in-house fiber coloring, stranding, sheathing and testing.

Do you support OEM and custom cable builds?

Yes. Beyond our standard catalogue we build to customer drawings and specifications — fiber count, structure, jacket material, armoring and reel length can all be tailored. Many of our long-term partners run products under their own brand.

Which cable types do you produce?

Our range covers aerial and self-supporting cables (ADSS, OPGW, Figure-8), duct and buried cables (GYTA, GYTS, GYTA53, GYFTY), FTTH drop cables, MTP-MPO trunk cables, distribution boxes and Fusion Splicers. See the ADSS cable, OPGW cable and FTTH drop cable pages for details.

Where are your customers?

We ship to telecom carriers, utilities and system integrators across many regions — Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas — and handle export documentation, sea and air freight from Shenzhen.

Our Shenzhen plant is set up for the kind of cable that has to survive years outside — not just lab samples. The line runs from raw fiber coloring all the way to finished, reeled cable, with each stage owned by our own team rather than outsourced.

For aerial and overhead builds we produce ADSS and OPGW, where the structure has to balance weight, span length and lightning resistance. For buried and duct routes we make steel-tape armored and all-dielectric constructions. And for the last mile we run FTTH drop and steel-wire drop cables on dedicated lines.

Testing is not an afterthought. Alongside OTDR and insertion-loss checks we verify mechanical performance — tensile, crush and bend behavior — so a reel that leaves the plant performs the way the datasheet claims. Custom structures go through the same checks as standard ones.

Because we control the process end to end, custom orders are routine rather than exceptional. Send us a drawing or a target spec and our engineers will propose a structure and a realistic lead time, then sample it before volume. The contact page is where those conversations start.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does your production line cover?

We handle the full process in-house: fiber coloring, loose-tube or tight-buffer stranding, sheathing, steel-tape or aluminum armoring, and final cabling. Keeping these steps under one roof is what lets us control tolerances and lead time.

How is cable quality controlled?

Every reel is checked before shipment — OTDR traces for continuity and attenuation, insertion-loss testing on terminated assemblies, and mechanical checks for tensile and crush resistance. Problem reels are pulled before they reach the customer.

Can you handle small pilot orders as well as volume?

Yes. We regularly run pilot batches for new partners evaluating a structure, alongside steady volume production once the specification is locked. Tooling for common builds is already in place, which shortens the first-order lead time.

Do you provide factory audits or production videos?

We can share factory photos and production videos, and we host customer and third-party audits by appointment. Many buyers do a video walkthrough before placing their first container.

Reaching our sales team is straightforward — use the inquiry form on this page or email us directly, and a engineer-backed quotation comes back rather than a generic auto-reply. Because we manufacture in-house, we can usually turn a spec into a firm price and lead time quickly.

To save a round-trip, include the essentials in your first message: which cable you need (ADSS, OPGW, FTTH drop, GYTA53 …), fiber count and type, jacket and armoring, total length and reel size, and the standard your project must meet. A drawing or the part number you are replacing works even better.

We work with carriers, utilities, distributors and installers — pilot batches for evaluation are welcome, and so are full-container repeat orders. Shipping is handled from Shenzhen with the export paperwork taken care of, by sea or air, or via your own forwarder.

Our plant is located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. If you would like a factory tour or a production video before committing, just ask when you get in touch — we are used to walking new partners through the line remotely first.

Frequently Asked Questions

What information should I send for a quote?

The fastest quotes come with a few basics: cable type (ADSS, OPGW, FTTH drop, GYTA/GYTS…), fiber count and type, jacket material, total length and reel size, and your target standard. A drawing or existing part number helps even more.

What is the typical lead time?

Standard cables usually ship within a short window; custom or high-fiber-count builds take longer because they go through sampling and testing. We quote a concrete date once the specification is confirmed rather than guessing up front.

What is the minimum order quantity?

We support both pilot batches and full container volumes. MOQ depends on the cable structure, so tell us what you need and we will confirm the smallest workable quantity for your build.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. We handle export documentation and arrange sea or air freight from Shenzhen to ports worldwide, and we work with your freight forwarder if you already have one.
